Project description
A new community group has been established to support conservation and engagement across the Rib Valley.
Friends of the Rib and Quin are helping to raise awareness of the valley's chalk rivers, monitor their wildlife and campaign for a more sustainable future for these unique environments.
Set up in 2019, the Friends have regular meetings and a mailing list to keep in touch with news and sightings from across the valley, deliver engagement activities and events, undertake Riverfly Monitoring, and are working in partnership with the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust to support conservation and management of the Rib and Quin.
