The River Lea recently featured on BBC's River Walks.

The annual River Lea Catchment Conference took place on 23rd January 2019, at Bayfordbury Science and Learning Centre, coordinated by Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust, who are the Catchment Hosts for the River Lea.
