Contractors will start re-pollardaring willows along the Stort backwater on the northern edge of Hunsdon Mead.

This work, due to take place between 5th-7th February, will reduce shading on the riverbank and encourage bankside vegetation.  This will benefit a range of species including dragonflies, insects, birds and mammals.

This work is being managed by Herts & Middlesex Wildlife Trust and is Project 14 on the Stort Catchment Management Plan
