Outstanding pieces of River Lea-inspired art and design work are on display in a free exhibition at The Hat Factory in Luton this week.
The pieces are the work of Barnfield College Art and Design students, who were given the LoveLEA project brief by the Luton Lea Catchment Partnership.
From a selection of bowls made with ceramic mixed with found items from the river to an etched bird box perfect for the urban garden, the exhibition showcases an impressive range of imaginative and powerful pieces. The students' accompanying explanations of the works really help the audience appreciate the need to value the River Lea in Luton and its surroundings.
The exhibition opened with a private view on Tuesday 19 April and is now open to the public until Friday 22 April. Not to be missed!
