Helen Hoyle from Sheffield University is creating a meadow area in Wardown Park which will be the location for a 3 year research project into the value of wild flower meadows.
The meadow area will also be used as an educational resource and provide a habitat for a range of invertebrate species.
On the afternoon of Thursday 30th April 2015, Helen led a group of enthusiastic local volunteers, who helped sow the wild flower seed. They had a great afternoon and can’t wait to see their work bloom!
