The first phase of the public consultation to review and update the current river basin plans has been launched and the Environment Agency wants you to submit your views before 22 December 2018.
The current river basin management plans were published in February 2016. These outlined the actions needed to protect and improve the water environment. Work to implement the plans has to date enhanced over 3200 km of the water environment in England.
The first phase of the consultation seeks your views on:
• How you can get involved in the review and update of the plans
• The proposed timetable and content of the programme of work to review and update the plans
• How other plans and strategies affect, or are affected by, the river basin management plans
• Whether all relevant stakeholders have been identified
The Environment Agency has published the consultation using an easy to use online tool and invites you to review their proposals and provide your views back to them.
