Join the Countryside Management Service and Stapleford Parish Council to celebrate the completion of the Waterford Marsh Project, 2pm on Friday 26th June '15

The project has been led by the CMS on behalf of Hertfordshire County Council, working in partnership with the Environment Agency (EA) and Stapleford Parish Council.  Over the course of the three years the site has seen improvements for both wildlife and people through a series of works that have included watercourse restoration, pond creation, access repair, and provision of new interpretation boards.  The project would not have been possible without funding contributions from HCC, the EA, Natural England and Network Rail, and the activity of CMS practical conservation volunteers.

This launch event will provide an opportunity for project sponsors and stakeholders to come together with the local community to celebrate the achievements of the Waterford Marsh Project.  In addition to a few words of thanks and a cake cutting, we will be taking a short walk to look at some of the works that have taken place over the course of the project.
