The River Beane Restoration Society has organised the first of two walks along the River Beane to enable people to explore and enjoy the rights of way that allow almost the entire length of the river to be walked. The first walk will be taking place on the 25th July, beginning in Watton-at-Stone and ending in Hertford.

The walk will be covering a 4 mile stretch of the river. The meeting point will be at the war memorial in Watton at 10am, and will end at Hertford North station, where people can return to Watton by train or bus. There may be a short stop at the Millstream Pub if time permits!

If you wish to walk a shorter route, you can join the group near the church in Stapleford where they expect to arrive between 11-11.30am.
