An Enfield Council wetlands project in Palmers Green. The wetlands, which will help prevent flooding, reduce pollution and encourage wildlife is funded by Enfield Council, Thames Water, the Environment Agency and the GLA, and has been implemented in partnership with Thames21 and the Friends of Firs Farm.

A historically polluted waterway known as the Moore Brook (a tributary of the Lea) has been freed of its culvert, and several planted basins allow the water quality to be improved. This major new wetland habitat can store up to 30,000 cubic metres of flood water, and will reduce the risk of flooding risk to more than 100 residential properties and parts of the A10. The park's ecology will also be improved with a range of new native plants.
